Paulo Miyao

Paulo Miyao is a two-time IBJJF World Champion, four-time Pan Champion, and two-time ADCC bronze medalist. Born in Andirá, Brazil, he and his twin brother João grew up with very little, but found Jiu Jitsu in their teens. Training under Cicero Costha at the PSLPB academy in São Paulo, Paulo began collecting titles at every belt level. He and João became known for their flashy guard work and their mastery of the berimbolo, a technique Paulo helped bring into the mainstream and one that changed how a generation of grapplers approached the guard.
