Ffion Davies

Black Belt · Featherweight

Titles
ADCC Champion · 2 × IBJJF World Champion
Belt
Black Belt under Darragh O'Conaill
Nationality
Welsh
One of the finest featherweights of her generation, and the first British woman to win an ADCC world title. Born in Swansea, Ffion came to jiu-jitsu through judo — eight years old on the mat, a British Open junior champion, and a member of the Welsh national squad before she had left school. She walked away from the sport twice, found MMA at eighteen, and found the gi again through it. Chris Rees gave her a blue belt in Swansea. Darragh O'Conaill gave her a black belt in Dublin in November 2018, and she has not stopped since: ADCC gold in 2022, IBJJF world titles in the gi in 2022 and 2023, and three no-gi world championships, taking both weight and absolute in 2023. She finishes with the armbar more than anything else, which is the judo still showing.
