Ozbek Board Shorts

These board shorts were designed in collaboration with Christian Ozbek. The Christian Ozbek Signature Greek Hellas Board Shorts draw on many of Greece’s most profound and iconic moments from the modern and archaic era. Mottos from ancient Sparta through to its independence movement in the early 1800s, as well as the evil eye and most obviously the Olympics which it gave birth to and won the bid to re-host in 2004. It was there that Iliadis won the Olympics for Greece in judo at the age of 17, becoming the gateway and motivation for many young kids across Greece to enter judo schools across the country, causing a sudden and dramatic increase. Across the back waistband sits the Spartan call “Η ΤΑΝ Η ΕΠΙ ΤΑΣ”, a phrase once given to soldiers heading into battle, return victorious with your shield, or be carried home upon it. Subtle Greek detailing and design fragments reference the country’s long martial and athletic tradition. Limited release. Once sold out, it will not be restocked.
